To support the standards, students will participate in read alouds, storytelling experiences, Makerspace activities, early literacy support, research, and participate in book checkout.

Borrowing Books
The numbers of books that a student can borrow depends on grade level. Books are due back in one week, but may be renewed if there are no holds or requests.
Y5, K: 1 book a week
1st, 2nd: 2 books a week
3rd, 4th, 5th: 3 books a week
Teachers, staff, parents, Guardians: As many as willing to be responsible for

Lost or Damaged Books
If a book is lost or damaged beyond repair, it should be paid for or replaced. Parents and guardians may choose what method works best.
Payment: Payments are accepted in the form of exact cash only (change cannot be made; sorry for any inconvenience). Please sent the payment to the library with your child's full name and teacher's name on the envelope. If your book is found and returned, your payment will be refunded in full.
Replacement: You may replace the lost or damaged book by purchasing another copy from a local or online bookstore. If your book is found, please return it and you will be refunded the amount that our library system quotes as the book's value.
